Ambassador is a workshop designed to take participants on a three-hour journey through the rich history and captivating stories of a region. The workshop covers early inhabitants, significant accomplishments, and industries, the economy as well as notable figures and landmarks that have contributed to shaping the region into what it is today.
Ambassador’s primary goal is to deepen participants’ understanding of their own backyard, cultivate a sense of pride and enthusiasm, foster cultural intelligence, and enhance customer service to create a more meaningful visitor experience and connection. This initiative enables participants to provide consistent and welcoming hospitality to all visitors and become proactive ambassadors for the community.
Ambassador is for everyone whether you are new to the area, or you have lived there for a lifetime!

People do business with people they like. Taking ownership and pride in our town makes it easy to connect with any visitor or customer whether they are known to you or not. It’s the things that cost nothing which create the best visitor experiences.
Place
Connect with your place and your community. Understand and respect the past, show pride in your town and develop your local knowledge to share with others.
Culture
Take pride in what you do, build cultural knowledge, your own reputation and brand consistency. We journey through the continual growing markets, looking at how we can authentically connect with these visitors.
Future
Ambassador inspires people and grows businesses by providing tools to ensure a positive and totally memorable customer experience.

Regardless of the destination it is always the contact with locals that cements the appeal of a location and a desire to return or encourage others to visit. This is a great initiative which will have huge benefits for the Queenstown Lakes and one that I whole-heartedly support and encourage everyone to participate in.
