Ambassador explores what makes this Southern Lakes region and the visitor experience to the Wakatipu and Wanaka such a unique and genuine one. During the course we share information visitors may find interesting and helpful, explore the history of the region, highlight simple tools to connect with people from all over the world and heighten awareness of NZ’s growing tourism markets.

Ambassador is affordable, fun and fascinating.

You’ll attend a one-off course on a Friday morning in Queenstown. All courses run 9am-12pm. Ambassador is for everyone whether new to the area or you have lived here for a lifetime. You will journey through the early history, amazing explorers, business pioneers and entrepreneurs who have shaped our special place. Immerse into the history and legends of the southern lakes from alpine maori through to present day and beyond. Ambassador is endorsed by the Queenstown and Wanaka Chambers of Commerce, Destination Queenstown, Lake Wanaka Tourism and the Queenstown Lakes District Council.

Regardless of the destination it is always the contact with locals that cements the appeal of a location and a desire to return or encourage others to visit.
