Are you interested in studying tourism and hospitality but would like to experience what it’s all about before you decide? Tourism and Hospitality Career Experience Queenstown!
Come join us in Queenstown for three days to Experience QRC first hand and learn why our college and the tourism industry are so great.
What will you see and do?
- Get a behind the scenes look at Queenstown’s Tourism and Hospitality Operators.
- Hang out with current students and find out more about studying tourism and hospitality in Queenstown.
- Find out about QRC’s courses and paid internship opportunities. We have a successful earn while you learn program.
- Tour our QRC Campus and explore our Halls of Residence – QRC Lodge
- Learn about the different job options available within the tourism and hospitality industry.
- A final Dinner (parents/guardians are also invited).

Who can go?
Experience QRC is for students in Year 12 and 13 who are turning 18 and are interested in studying hospitality or tourism.
Parents, please join us for Welcome Overview for an hour where you learn tour the campus and get an overview of the courses. You may then join us at the Lodge dinner on the final evening.
When is Experience QRC?
Experience QRC runs for three days during the April, July and October School Holidays.
EQRC starts at 11.30am on the Tuesday and ends at 11.30am on the Thursday.
- Dates depend on school holiday dates, usually the second week.
Students are welcome to arrive before 11.30 am.
What’s included?
$299 per student* for 2 nights and 3 days and includes:
- 2 nights Accommodation
- Food
- Airport transfers from Queenstown airport to QRC Campus on arrival & departure
- Activities
*Please talk to your careers adviser regarding financial assistance as your school may have funds to assist you with this cost.

I can’t begin to thank you enough, EQRC was amazing, I was definitely nervous and if I’m being honest I really didn’t want to attend because I didn’t think I’d cope being with 47 other strangers for 3 days but I am so so grateful I went and I’m super excited for next year, as I now no longer feel nervous and knowing I’ll have people to talk to and hang out with next year puts me at ease! So thank you for what you guys have done.
