What are you studying at QRC?
I’m studying the Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
How have your first few months in Queenstown and on campus been?
It’s been already a month since I arrived in Queenstown and it has been a fantastic experience for me to start my academic journey at QRC. I’ve settled in well to my new home, new surroundings and absolutely love the multicultural environment here at QRC and Queenstown. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful which made this transition of moving to a new country and starting my student life in New Zealand a really smooth experience.
What do you do for fun outside QRC?
I love spending my free time exploring the hiking trails/tracks around the town. Queenstown has heaps of fun activities to offer and some amazing places to visit.
What has been a stand out moment from your studies so far?
I think my interactions with the faculties, guest lecturers here has been the stand out moments for me. The tutors are friendly and always there to help with any queries. The teaching style is really impressive and it’s been great to learn from them.
Any advice for international students wanting to study with QRC?
If you are thinking about studying Tourism and Hospitality, I would totally recommend QRC. Not only you get to study at one of the premier institutes but also get an opportunity to live and work in the home of adventure, Queenstown.
Are you working part time anywhere while you study?
I’m working part-time with the Queenstown Motel Apartments as a Motel Assistant.
Where do you hope your QRC studies will take you?
I feel that the learning here at QRC will certainly help me to be prepared for the Tourism and Hospitality industry in New Zealand. I am optimistic that this experience will help me to follow my dream of exploring New Zealand and work with some of the best travel companies in the world.
