QRC’s new Tai Tokerau campus in Paihia, Northland, was officially opened today by Economic Development Minister, the Hon. Steven Joyce.
The Government has invested an additional $1.2 million, through the Tertiary Education Commission, to QRC to support the establishment of the Tai Tokerau campus.
The new College was developed with support from NZ Māori Tourism, and has attracted investment from Chinese company Shanghai CRED, which runs Peppers Carrington Resort, at Karikari.
The college will initially run a Diploma in Hospitality Management with a Diploma in Adventure Tourism Management to be added in 2017.
