Student Council at QRC
Our student councils provide a collective voice for the student body at QRC’s Queenstown and Tai Tokerau campuses. Their mission is to represent the values, opinions and perspective of all students to help inform and guide best practice and effectively drive student learning and outcomes.
With at least one representative per class sitting on the council to ensure compete representation, this group of students works hard to ensure the community and culture at QRC is inclusive, supportive, relevant and, ultimately, fun. A staff member also sits on council to guarantee the student voice permeates throughout the administrative and teaching departments.
Council members are QRC scholarship students and volunteers who, with the backing of their class, are enthusiastic about taking on this important leadership opportunity. The student councils currently meet weekly and representatives typically remain on council throughout their time on campus.
