Understand how to pair food and wine and how the flavour of food affects wine perception, with demonstrations of common pairings and pairing rules. Learn how to make pairing recommendations to your customers and review wine and dish taste profiles.

This course uses blended learning.

  • Compulsory 1-day in-person workshop, held on the first two days of your course (please note this workshop does not include accommodation or transport).
  • Followed by 6-weeks of online learning with tutor check-ins.

You will be assessed via weekly quizzes and an e-workbook relating to the course content.

How long is this course?
  • 6-weeks.
Is this course 100% online learning?

No – there is a 1-day in-person workshop.

Research has shown that blended delivery yields the best learning outcome.
The in-person workshop will be held at the start of your course and is compulsory.

What’s the time commitment?
  • It is recommended that learners allocate 8-9 hours per week of study to the course
  • 5-6 hours of online learning and 3 hours of self-directed learning
  • The online lectures are recorded, allowing students to listen at their convenience
  • There will be a weekly tutorial session where students can check in and ask questions about coursework or assignments
