Law Tutor

Level 6 | 42 Contact Hours (11-week term). Term 6 (Year 2).

Content Summary: Evaluate owner liability against a range of New Zealand laws and Te Tiriti o Waitangi that impact
business operations in a tourism/hospitality environment

Assessment Strategy

A. Mid-term Exam (35%)
B. Assessment – Compliance plan (30%)
C. Final Exam (35%)

Start date 24th June.

Economics Tutor

Level 6 | 42 Contact Hours (11-week term). Term 6 (Year 2).

Content Summary: Analyse and apply economic principles to contemporary tourism scenarios to inform decision making and strategy development

Assessment Strategy

A. Assessment | Case Study (35%)
B. Presentation (25%)
C. Final Exam (40%)

Start date 24th June.

Managerial Accounting Tutor

Level 6 | 42 Contact Hours (11-week term). Term 6 (Year 2).

Content Summary: Utilise effective Management Control Systems to evaluate management performance, develop a range of budgets and apply variance analysis.

Assessment Strategy

A. Presentation (25%)
B. Mid-term Exam (35%)
C. Final Exam (40%)

Start date 24th June.

Hospitality Operations and Cost Control Tutor

Level 6 | 42 Contact Hours (11-week term). Term 5 (Year 2).

Content Summary: Prepare and interpret a range of food and beverage control reports and analyse actual results compared to forecasted figures, to recommend corrective and preventative measures to support business resilience

Assessment Strategy

A. Portfolio of Work (30%)

B. Exam 1 (20%)

C. Portfolio of Work (30%)

D. Exam 2 (20%)
