QRC has branched out into the regions!
Over the past few months, we have been working on establishing programme delivery sites in Gisborne and Whakatāne and have formed QRC Tairāwhiti which offers the Level 4 Tourism Operations Certificate. We have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Te Wananga O Aotearoa to secure future delivery sites.
We celebrated by co-hosting a launch event with Air New Zealand in Whakatāne which included the local Mayor, iwi, council, RTOs, education providers, teachers, and career advisers.
The regional education initiative is part of our strategic partnership with Air New Zealand and is one of the ways we are working together to build New Zealand’s tourism talent pipeline and enable employment pathways for students wishing to enter into the sector.
Our Future Students team and the Air NZ Ambassadors will run information seminars in Gisborne, Whakatāne and South Auckland over the next 3 months to launch our study and career pathways.
