We recently celebrated the achievements of our Tourism and Hospitality Management Graduate Diploma students who have now completed their studies and moved out into the workforce. Two students in particular were recognised for their efforts – Danielle Ingle, the ‘Highest Achiever’, and Yagik Mohan, who was awarded ‘Outstanding Intern’.
Originally from Dunedin, Danielle is a long-time Queenstowner who came for a ski season, fell in love with the town and never left! As part of her Graduate Diploma, she interned at Queenstown’s 5-star St Moritz Hotel and produced a particularly insightful research paper Student Perception of Tourism and Hospitality Careers which was highly commended.
Yagik has become a well-known face at Queenstown’s Crowne Plaza hotel and his professionalism, outgoing personality, popularity with guests, and passion for the industry were quickly recognised by the Crowne team during his internship. Insights gained from his Grad Dip research on Customer Loyalty Programmes have also added value to Crowne Plaza’s loyalty and VIP programme.
